Model:  7181

One Organic Reusable Tea Bag.  Made with organic cotton (natural, unbleached), which is easier to rinse and wash.

Replace commercial tea bags with reusables. Reduces packaging waste and the energy and resources used to produce commercial tea bags. Most tea bags are not biodegradable and are actually made from plastic! This bag is made of GOTS-certified organic cotton. The string is long enough for using this bag with mugs or with a teapot.

The string is natural unbleached organic cotton, with no dye. Long-lasting, washable and a reusable alternative to disposable filters and to metal-based ones. GOTS-certified, this ensures that the cotton has been organically grown and that fabrics have been treated in an eco-friendly way. Manufacturing in a small Indian factory.

Measures  9cm x 9cm

Simply add loose tea, enjoy a fresh cuppa, then rinse or wash and enjoy again and again.

How to hand wash - turn them inside out and compost all the tea bits. Soak in cold water to help prevent stains. Hand wash in your sink with a little washing up liquid, then a quick rinse under the tap. Line dry.
For a deeper clean, soak the tea bag for a few hours in vinegar and water(apple cider or white vinegar) 1 part vinegar to two parts water.

If the tea bag was used for tea with milk - hand wash after each use. If no milk, rinse and reuse 1-2 times (same day) and then hand wash.

Really good for a cuppa free from floating tea leaves.

I have used lots of different types of tea strainer and diffuser. This is by a long shot the best for keeping your cuppa leaf-free. There are virtually no escapees into your cup. But there are downsides - firstly the instructions to wash in the sink don't work if you are putting into a cuppa with milk - they very quickly smell like stale milk unless you wash them properly in the washing machine. Secondly the instruction to reuse throughout the day is not practical -trying to refill a wet teabag with dry leaves is messy and results in bits of leaf getting stuck all over the place. It's far better to buy enough to keep you going throughout the day. And if you like to put your milk first into your mug, you need enough to keep you going between washes. It's such a shame that they aren't sold in a big batch, rather than individually - this makes them expensive. They are available sold in larger quantities elsewhere - but not organic ones - which is a great selling point. Also you need to expect that they stain very quickly and look kind of manky - but that really doesn't affect their usability or how good they are.

In summation there are downsides, but personally I still think they are by far the best option I have ever tried for tea leaves because they keep your cuppa leaf-free.
